The journey begins in the morning around 07:00, when participants are picked up directly from their hotel in the Yogyakarta area by our friendly and professional team. The drive to Jomblang Cave in Gunung Kidul takes about two hours, passing through peaceful and scenic countryside views. Upon arrival, participants will receive a safety briefing and be fully equipped with the necessary gear for the caving activity. The adventure starts with a descent down a vertical cliff approximately 60 meters deep using the safe Single Rope Technique (SRT), assisted by experienced operators. Once at the bottom of the cave, participants will walk through a muddy passage leading to the main chamber of Grubug Cave, where the magical “Heaven’s Light” phenomenon occurs. At the right moment, sunlight shines through the hole above, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene — a perfect moment for photography. After enjoying the natural wonder, participants will ascend back to the surface and freshen up before having a simple, traditional local lunch provided by the team.
